Bridging Medical Expertise and High Performance Computing
The Diagnostic Expert Advisor (DEA) is a platform that allows for intuitive and easy use of HPC in a patient-centric structure. It is designed to setup machine learning models on medical data, such as vital parameters from an intensive care unit. Being easily expandable and adoptable to specific tasks we developed the platform in the SDL Digital Patient to allow our clinical colleagues to quickly setup their research on the NHR4CES HPC infrastructure.
Who should use the DEA?
The platform is targeted at researchers and clinicians working with medical (timeseries) data and any kind of compute intense application. Whether you deploy machine learning or mechanistic modelling, if your research can benefit from HPC, a streamlined structure and intuitive web-based visualizations, the DEA is probably a good fit for you.
The main advantages of using the platform are:
- Intuitive utilization of HPC (with limited specific coding knowledge required)
- Patient-based workflow, with individual analysis and evaluation
- Shareable and Reusable code
- Built-In Explorative Data Analysis
If any or all of these sound intriguing to you, contact us to setup the DEA for your project.
How do you get started?
The easiest way is to reach out to the SDL Digital Patient and get personalized support. If you want to get started immediately there is an extensive documentation available, covering everything from the installation and a getting started guide, to detailed API documentation and visualization examples.
We are currently working on a video series explaining in detail how to setup your project with the DEA. Once available it will be linked on this website too!
If you hit any roadblocks feel free to either reach out directly or open issues on the GitHub project.
